Version 12.1
- Launch the Mac Mail application.
- If you have no email accounts in Mac Mail or if it's your first time launching the app:
- In the Choose a Mail account provider dialog, select Other mail Account, then click the Continue button.
If there's at least one account already in Mac Mail:
- Select Mail then Add Account.
- In the Choose a Mail account provider dialog, select Other mail Account, then click the Continue button.
- Enter the following:
- Full Name - The name you want on your outgoing email.
- Email address - Your full business email address.
- Password - The app password you created. Learn more about app passwords.
- Click the Sign In button.
- On the next screen, enter the following:
- Email address - Your full business email address.
- User Name - Your full business email email address.
- Password - The app password you created. Learn more about app passwords.
- Account Type - POP
- Incoming Email Server - pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
- Outgoing Mail server - smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
- Click the Sign In button. - You'll be taken to your Inbox.
Older versions
- Launch the Mac Mail application.
- Click File | Add Account.
- Enter the following:
- Full Name - The name you want on your outgoing email.
- Email address - Your full business email address.
- Password - The app password you created. Learn more about app passwords.
- Click Continue.
- In the Incoming Mail Server screen, enter the following:
- Account Type - POP
- Description -- A descriptive name for your account.
- Incoming Email Server - pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
- User Name - Your full business email email address.
- Password - The app password you created. Learn more about app passwords.
- Click the Continue button
- In the Outgoing Mail Server screen, enter the following:
- Description - This is optional.
- Outgoing Mail server - smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com
- Check Use only this server.
- Check Use Authentication.
- User Name - Your full business email email address.
- Password - The app password you created. Learn more about app passwords.
- Click the Continue button
- Review the account info, then click Create.
- You'll be taken to your Inbox. - Click Mail, at the top, then select Preferences.
- Click the Accounts tab.
- Select your business email account.
- Click Advanced and confirm the following:
