Below is a list of floating cart known issues:
Floating cart and mini-cart display - Editor 2.0 templates
- Merchants using Editor 2.0 templates may experience floating cart display issues if installing the floating cart script and mini-cart ID using Store Editor (manual setup option 2) and inserting the mini-cart ID into the Head-tags variable. Merchants who are comfortable modifying RTML may wish to install the floating cart by adding the floating cart RTML operator to their page. template, and inserting the mini-cart div element directly below their page's opening tag. Please note that Turbify does not offer RTML customization support.
Floating Cart Manager preview module discrepancies
There are some known visual display discrepancies between the Style and Colors Preview module shown in the Customize Appearance tab of Floating Cart Manager, and the actual floating cart display settings shown on your live site. These are:
- Buttons shown in the preview module display a beveled border. This border style does not appear in the live floating cart.
- The font type, weight, and size used for an item's sale price and discount message (e.g., "Sale Price" and "You Save") differ between the preview module and live floating cart.
- Item quantities are displayed as regular weight (non-bold) text in the preview module, but as bold text in the live floating cart.
- Scroll bars are not displayed in the preview module, but are displayed in the live floating cart.
- The preview module displays a white background in the section containing the "Checkout" button. In the live floating cart, the background color of this section is consistent with the rest of the floating cart. Merchants should consider the background color they've chosen for their floating cart when selecting their button background color.
- Floating Cart section headings (Item(s), Shipping Calculator, Coupon Code, Free Shipping Offer) are left-aligned in the preview module, but are centered in the live floating cart.
Other issues
- Merchants using Store Tags may encounter add-to-cart issues for items with monograms or inscriptions. This issue is being investigated.
- Currently, the total item count is being shown as the number of unique items added to the cart, rather than the total item quantity.
- Safari is not a supported browser for the floating cart. This is due to how Safari handles cookies.
