Important: The Floating Cart is not supported in Microsoft-based browsers (such as Edge) released before April, 2019.
Allow your customers to enter and apply coupon codes to their orders directly in the floating cart. When a customer applies a valid coupon code to their order, their order subtotal including this discount will be displayed in the floating cart.
Note: Merchants displaying a free shipping offer in their floating cart should note that customers may not apply a coupon discount to an order in addition to the free shipping offer. If a customer applies a coupon after the free shipping discount is applied, they will see a message that informs them of this, and will be provided with a link to apply the free shipping offer if they wish to receive this discount instead of the coupon discount.
Enable the coupon code section
- Sign in to your My Services page.
- Click the Store link.
- Go to Floating Cart Manager.
- From the Global Settings tab, locate the Floating Cart Settings section.
- At the bottom of this section, locate the Coupon Code options:
- Select Show to show the coupon code section in the floating cart.
- In the Coupon Code Field Label field, enter a label to appear beside the coupon code field in the floating cart. By default, this label is Your coupon code.
- If you'd like to add a message to the coupon code section, such as instructions or special notes, you may add this content using the Coupon Code Message field.
Note: A message of 100 characters or less (including spaces) is recommended for optimal display, as longer messages will increase the cart size. Line breaks or paragraph tags between lines of text must be inserted using HTML. (See examples of how to format lines and paragraph breaks with HTML.) Breaks inserted using the Enter key will not be recognized or reflected in the floating cart.
- Choose to Save, Save & Preview, or Publish your settings. Previewing your settings before publishing your changes is recommended.
