Important: The Floating Cart is not supported in Microsoft-based browsers (such as Edge) released before April, 2019.
Note: The following Help Page is for merchants using Editor 2.0 templates or custom templates. The Floating Cart RTML Operator and Mini-cart ID are already included in Editor 3.0 templates. Merchants using Editor 3.0 templates should publish Store Editor prior to enabling the Mini-cart and Floating Cart in Floating Cart Manager.
Inserting the Floating Cart script is the recommended option for merchants using Editor 2.0 or custom templates, who do not have experience with modifying RTML. The Floating Cart script can be found in the Manual Setup tab of Floating Cart Manager, in Option 2. This script includes a string specific to your store, making the script for each store unique.
Retrieve and install the Floating Cart script
- Sign in to your My Services page.
- Click the Store link.
- Go to Floating Cart Manager.
- From the Manual Setup tab, click the arrow to expand Option 2: Insert a floating cart script and mini-cart ID into your store pages. This tab must be expanded in order to view and copy the Floating Cart script.
- Scroll down and copy the Floating Cart script. It will look like the example given below, and include a string specific to your store, with your Store ID and a timestamp:
- Go back to Store Manager and then to Store Editor.
- Go to Variables.
- Here, you may insert the script into any field that accepts HTML and appears within the body of your page (between the opening <body> and closing </body> tags), with recommended placement being directly above the page's closing </body> tag. By placing the script as the last body element, you allow all other page contents to load before the script is called. Should the script be slow to respond, it will not affect your page load time. To achieve this placement, you may wish to insert the copied script into the Final-text variable.
- Click the Update button to save your changes.
If you've already inserted the Mini-cart ID into your store pages, you may publish your changes in Store Editor. If you haven't inserted the Mini-cart ID into your store pages, you must do so at this time. The Mini-cart ID is required for cart positioning, and must be included in your pages in addition to the floating cart script.
Once the Floating Cart script and Mini-cart ID have been inserted into your store pages, and you've published these changes, you may use Floating Cart Manager to enable, disable, and customize your Mini-cart and Floating Cart.
If you are not using Store Editor to design, manage, and maintain your store pages, please see our Floating Cart help for third-party design tools:
