Add Gift Options

If you want to offer your customers the option of buying items in your store as gifts for other people, use the Gift Options field on the Checkout Settings tab of the Global Settings module in the Checkout & Registration Manager. From this section, you can enable this feature, set the price for gift-wrapping, and provide a text field for a gift message.
Enabling Gift Options allows shoppers to select the option with a checkbox at checkout. The price per item or per order is reflected (Gift Wrap my order for an additional charge of $X). If you elect to allow shoppers to include gift message, setting Gift Message option to Yes add a text area for the message.
Select the Enable radio button next to Gift Options.
Do one of the following:
Select the Per Order radio button and enter the price of the gift wrap option if you wish to apply one flat rate fee per order regardless of the number of items in the order.
Select the Per Item radio button and enter the price of the gift wrap option if you wish to apply a fee for each item in the order. Note: Leave the Price field blank if you do not wish to charge for gift wrap such as if you are running a special holiday promotion which includes free gift wrap.
You can also select to allow customers to enter a special message as an option. From the pull-down menu choose to offer a Gift Message.
Click the Save button when finished or the Save & Preview button to save and preview your changes.
Return to Store Manager and publish your Order Settings.
