Common solutions
Important: Some of these settings and features can only be accessed from a desktop or laptop computer. We recommend signing in to your mail on a computer when trying these suggestions.

To check your Spam folder, click the Spam link in the left navigation column.
If you find email there that doesn't belong in the Spam folder, you should mark them as Not Spam. Learn more.
Note: Some types of messages may need to be marked as Not Spam multiple times for it to be effective. The Yahoo SpamGuard Plus algorithms need a certain amount of data before they can predict what you consider Spam or Not Spam. Continue marking applicable messages as Not Spam to provide Yahoo SpamGuard Plus the data it needs.
Additional options:
- Add the sending email address to your Contacts. This will help Yahoo SpamGuard Plus to see the sender as a known contact. Learn more.
- Create a filter for each sending (From:) address or domain that you do not want marked as Spam. This will override Yahoo SpamGuard Plus and route matching messages to the Inbox or folder selected. Learn how to create filters.
Check your blocked address list to see if the sender's address is on it. Learn how to unblock it.
Note: If the blocked email address was valid, it's possible that it was inadvertently marked as Spam.
Filters send select email messages into folders in your business email instead of the Inbox. Learn how to check and edit your filters.
Typos can happen when addressing an email or adding a contact to an address book. Make sure the sender has your full, correct email address. If the sender used an invalid email address, they should receive a bounceback message stating as such. Make sure to check with the sender regarding possible bounceback messages.
If you're not receiving mail on your mobile device after you've recently changed your password, check to make sure you also updated the password on your mobile device. Important: If you use the Yahoo Mail app, the password will be your business email password. If you use the mobile device's native mail app, the password will be your app password. If you're using an email client configured to the POP protocol, only messages in the Inbox itself will be downloaded. Messages filtered to other folders or marked as Spam will not be included. Check Webmail regularly to ensure messages aren't being missed, including marking messages as Not Spam when applicable.
Alternatively, set up a new profile in your email client, and configure it to use the IMAP protocol. IMAP syncs the full mailbox from Webmail, including the Spam folder. Learn more.
Most emails sent to you will arrive within a few minutes, but once in awhile an email is delayed Find out where they were delayed.
Changing your domain's name servers or MX records will affect the sending and receiving of your messages. To use your default Yahoo business email address, your domain's name servers and MX records will need to be at their default settings.
