Customize the sender ("From") name in order and shipment status emails

Learn how to add a new From name for your order and shipment emails.

When sending order and shipment status emails, you may wish to customize the sender or From field name that is used. By default, the sender name used is the value that has been entered in the Title variable of Store Editor. Should you wish for text other than what appears in the Title variable to be used in the email From field, you may customize this using the Catalog Name for Confirmation/Update Emails field in the Shipment & Order Status page in Store Manager. For example, the Title variable in Store Editor may be All Paws Up - Pet Supplies and More for the Pampered Pet, but you may wish for the email From field to read simply, All Paws Up.

Customize the From field for order confirmation and shipment status update emails

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.
    The Store link is under Control Panels.
  3. Go to Shipment & Order Status.
    The Shipment & Order Status link is under Order Settings.
  4. Click the Advanced Settings tab.

  5. In the Catalog Name for Confirmation/Update Emails field enter the custom sender (From) name you wish to use.

  6. Click the Update button.

  7. Return to Store Manager and publish your Order Settings.

When configuring order and shipment status emails, if you wish to use the default value entered in the Title variable of Store Editor as the From field name, you may do so by leaving the Catalog Name for Confirmation/Update Emails field blank.
