Note: Only domains with these TLDs are eligible for transfer at this time:
When did you register?
ICANN, the corporation responsible for regulating all domain registrations, prohibits anyone from transferring a domain until 60 days after registration or transfer. If you registered or transferred your domain within the last 60 days, you won't be able to transfer your domain successfully until this waiting period is over.
To review your domain registration date, visit your Domain Control Panel. (If you have already canceled your plan, you can look up your domain registration on ICANN's InterNic web site.)
Is your domain locked?
When you registered your domain through Turbify, we automatically locked your domain to help prevent unauthorized transfers. To transfer your domain away from Turbify to another provider, you'll need to make sure your domain is unlocked. You can unlock your domain in your Domain Control Panel.
Do you have your authorization code?
When you contact your new provider to initiate the transfer, be sure you have your authorization code handy. Your new provider needs this code to initiate the transfer. You can find your authorization code in your Domain Control Panel.
Is your Registrant email address correct?
Your new provider will send an email to the Registrant contact listed in your domain registration (your WHOIS information) when your domain transfer is initiated. Be sure your Registrant contact's email address is correct and accessible, or you won't be able to confirm the transfer. Learn how to view and update your domain contact information.
Have you made changes to your WHOIS information recently?
It may take a short time for those changes to become visible to everyone on the Internet, sometimes as much as 72 hours. If you have made any changes to your domain contact information, we suggest waiting a few days before transferring your domain.
