A top-level domain (TLD) is the suffix (or extension) at the end of a domain name, like .com or .net. For example, in the domain name learn2yoga.com, com is the TLD.
When you register your domain name through Turbify, you can select from over 400 domain TLDs. Here's some information about some common domain TLDs:
- The .net TLD was originally designed for internet companies, but is almost as popular as .com.
- Many nonprofits and community groups use .org, which was created for noncommercial sites.
- If you're a business, consider using the .biz TLD.
- If it's an informational site, think about using .info.
If you're having trouble getting the TLD you want, consider using a different one. You can select up to 10 domain names and include them in a single order.
