Catalog Manager's Upload/Download feature allows you to manage your products using a downloadable spreadsheet (.csv) file. You can use the Upload/Download feature to upload new catalog products in bulk, edit your existing catalog products, or create a backup copy of your catalog.
Upload and download your product catalog
- Sign in to your My Services page.
- Click the Store link.
- Go to Catalog Manager.
- Click the Upload/Download tab.
- On the far right, click the Download button.
- On the Download Table page, use the Choose Table pull-down menu to select the table for which you'd like to download a product spreadsheet.

- Make revisions to your product spreadsheet (using a text editor or Excel), such as adding new products or editing existing products, and save your changes. Note: Before you upload your spreadsheet, you'll want to delete all section and subsections as well as any columns which do not need to be updated. This will mitigate issues when you upload your spreadsheet. Important: Never delete the ID column for items that do need to be updated.
- Return to the Upload/Download tab.
- Click the Upload button.
- On the Upload Table page:
- Select the table to which you would like to upload your spreadsheet using the Choose Table pull-down menu.
- Select Add to append your changes to your existing table, or Rebuild to overwrite your existing table.
- Click the Choose File button to locate the spreadsheet file on your computer.
- Click the Upload button.
- Once your spreadsheet has uploaded, click the Commit button to commit your changes.
- Confirm your changes by clicking the Add or Rebuild buttons.
- From the Publish tab, click the Publish Catalog button.
- Click the Publish Changes button to confirm you wish to publish.
Note: When the Revert button is active on the Upload/Download page, you can revert to the last saved version of your catalog. If you notice an error in the upload, you don't want to attempt the upload again. Use the Revert button, and then attempt to process the upload again.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does it say "document contains no data" when I upload my CSV?
The field names (header) may be missing or not all on one line.
If I add an item with the same name as an existing item, will the new one overwrite the old?
No. Items are identified by their ID fields, which can be specified in the CSV; if an ID is not specified, one will be created based on the code. You can have two items with the same name; however, adding an item with the same ID as an existing item will update the matching fields on the existing one, and add any fields that aren't.
Is there a way to upload images en masse?
Yes, you can upload a ZIP file containing multiple images.
Is there a limit on the size of file I can upload?
Our software will work for files up to about 25MB, but some browsers may impose a lower limit. If you try uploading a large file and the browser seems to finish immediately, it was probably not sent. Try breaking your CSV file into multiple smaller files, or you can also try uploading data using Store FTP.
Why don't I see the path field on my downloaded CSV file?
By default, the path field is not on the downloaded CSV file, but you can add it to the file. To add the path field, you will need to add a custom attribute named path and set the format to text. Learn more about adding custom attributes. Once the path attribute has been added, it will appear in your downloaded file with the proper fields auto-populated. Note: Viewing the path field in Catalog Manager itself will not display the populated fields. You do not need to manually add them to the Catalog since the fields are auto-populated in the CSV file.
