The Minimum-order variable determines the minimum order amount a shopper must reach before being allowed to check out. By default this variable is set to zero. You can choose to set a higher minimum order amount. Typically this applies to stores with low-cost items where the merchants wants a minimum total before processing the transaction becomes profitable. Merchants can also choose to set a minimum order quantity for specific items rather than an overall total so shoppers are not allowed to purchase below a certain number of a specific item.
In the Store Properties section, enter a new value for Minimum-order representing the minimum dollar amount a buyer must reach before being allowed to check out.
Click the Update button when finished.
Publish when ready. Note: making changes in Variables will require a full publish. Learn more.
Note: You may wish to inform shoppers of the minimum order requirement so they are not confused if they are unable to check out with less than the minimum dollar amount required.
