Checkout & Registration Manager allows you to add, hide and edit fields in sections within your checkout pages. The Page Configuration module has tabs to all checkout pages in your current flow as selected on the Flow Settings tab of the Global Settings module. You can add, edit, or hide fields by first selecting the tab for the page on which the field appears, and then selecting the field in the Page Sections table.
Adding fields
Checkout & Registration Manager allows you to add fields to sections. When you add a field you can choose:
Editing fields
You can edit certain standard fields and any custom fields. Editing standard fields is limited to ensure basic checkout features remain functional or to ensure fields that integrate with other features allow input in an acceptable format.
Even when editing custom fields, there are certain limitations:
- You cannot move a field within a section once created.
- You cannot change field type except within a field type group (for example you can make radio buttons into a list box, but not a text box).
- You cannot change the Field ID once created. The Field ID is used to identify the field within Checkout & Registration Manager and also when exporting orders or real-time posting of orders.
If you need to edit fields beyond what is possible, you will need to delete the field and recreate it to meet your needs. Learn how to edit a field.
Edit a field
- Sign in to your My Services page.
- Click the Store link.
- Go to Checkout & Registration Manager.
- Go to Page Configuration.
- From the Order tab, select the page you wish to modify.
- Select the field in the Page Sections table then click the Edit button.
- Edit the Field Attributes and Values as desired then click the Finish button.
- Click the Save button when finished or the Save & Preview button to save and view your changes.
- Return to the Store Manager and publish your order settings.
Hiding fields
You can add fields to Checkout & Registration Manager that you will use seasonally in your checkout pages. After adding a field, you can hide the field from displaying in your checkout pages. The field will remain in the Page Sections table, but the checkout page will not display the field until you select to display the field. Learn more about hiding fields and sections.
