A mailing list consists of a list of email addresses that you collect in order to communicate the same message to a group of individuals.
When a shopper requests a catalog or place an order, their name and email address is automatically added to a list of newly collected addresses. You can add these new addresses to the lists that you have created and export the addresses for use with your email campaigns. Additionally, when a shopper signs up for a newsletter via the Newsletter variable in Theme Manager themes, their email address will be automatically added to a mailing list.
The same mailing list process applies to visitors that browse a website and enter their name and email address to download a guide, request a demo, or unlock gated content.
Note: While Merchant Solutions collects the email addresses of your customers for you, Merchant Solutions does not provide bulk email services. We recommend finding a third-party bulk email provider such as Constant Contact, Remarkety, or MailChimp for mailing campaigns.
