Local backups
It's always a good idea to maintain local copies of any files that you upload to your site or store. Depending on the tool you used to design your site or store, you may not be able to download copies of the content after it's been uploaded. For example, images uploaded using the multiple image upload feature in Merchant Solutions are not downloadable. However, files uploaded to Store Files can be downloaded one at a time.
Merchant Solutions merchants can also download copies of their product catalogs.
If your site is hand-coded or built using a third-party tool such as Dreamweaver, you can download a copy of your files using FTPS. You can export your WordPress blog or site from within the WordPress dashboard.
Sites built in Store Editor and Website Builder are not downloadable. This is because the pages generated in these tools are specific to the tools themselves and cannot be exported to and managed in other tools.
Manual backups
If your site is either hand-coded, or built with any application other than Website Builder, Store Editor, or the MySQL database, your site can be manually backed up using the cPanel Backup system for Web Hosting. Learn more.
Website Builder has Undo features but no option to back up an entire site.
Stores built using Store Editor are backed up and can be restored using Editor Snapshot. If your site was built using the MySQL database, you can follow these steps to back up your database.
Automatic backups
With Turbify Web Hosting, your website will be automatically backed up using the JetBackup archive tool in cPanel. Websites are backed up daily and a backup archive is available going back 7 days. You can also download your website's files, folders, and database to your local drive or restore them. To learn more about JetBackup, visit this Help Article.
