RTML - Creating a new template

Learn how to create new RTML templates for use within your store.

You can create new RTML templates for use within your store. However, we cannot provide any assistance for the use of RTML or writing/debugging/using any custom templates for your store. Instructions for the correct use of RTML, or information regarding how to read existing templates, is not available within the help pages although third-party guides are available.

Create a new template

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.
    The Store link is under Control Panels.
  3. Go to Store Editor.
    The Store Editor link is under Edit.
  4. From the Advanced Editor toolbar, click the Templates button.

    Note: If you are using a custom template, the name of the custom template will appear on the Templates button rather than the word Templates.
  5. Click the New Template button.

  6. In the Id of new template field, enter an ID (name) for your new template then click the Create button.

  7. Edit your template as you wish.

You can also copy any existing template and modify it to meet your needs.

Copy an existing template

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.
    The Store link is under Control Panels.
  3. Go to Store Editor.
    The Store Editor link is under Edit.
  4. From the Advanced Editor toolbar, click the Templates button.

    Note: If you are using a custom template, the name of the custom template will appear on the Templates button rather than the word Templates.
  5. Click the template you wish to copy (FYI - storetemplate. is the default store template).

  6. Click the Copy Template button.

  7. In the New id field, enter an ID (name) for your new template then click the Copy button.

  8. Edit your template as you wish.

Note: When you return to the Templates page your copied template will appear in the Custom column next to the built-in template which you copied.
