Submitting simply means that we make search engines aware of your site. In most cases, they will add your site to their search indexes, which are databases of billions of web pages discovered, crawled, and indexed by those search engines.
If you are a Merchant Solutions customer, we'll submit your website to Yahoo, Google, and other search engines automatically.
Important: While Turbify can help you put your best foot forward to search engines, we cannot guarantee your site's placement in search results - or that it will be listed (indexed) at all.
Although your site will likely be added to the Yahoo and Google databases, it will not necessarily appear in the top results for any given search term. In other words, just submitting your site isn't enough! You'll need to spend some time promoting your site to help Internet users find you, with or without search engines.
Yahoo Search ranks sites by relevance, presenting results from the Yahoo Search index. Google uses similar processes to rank and reorder sites in its index. A site's position in these lists can change over time, as new sites are added, other sites change their content, and the search engines modify and improve their ranking tools.
