PayPal status shows as "Pending"

Reasons your PayPal status may appear as "Pending" in the Payment Center, and what to do about it.

Your PayPal status may show as Pending in Payment Center for the following reasons:

  • You haven't completed all required steps as outlined by PayPal.
  • You're trying to set up a non-US PayPal account. Right now, PayPal doesn't support non-US PayPal accounts with this integration of PayPal Checkout.

Reviewing incomplete steps in your PayPal setup

  1. Sign in to your My Services page.
  2. Click the Store link.
    The Store link is under Control Panels.
  3. Go to Payment Center.
    The Payment Center link is under Order Settings.
  4. Click the check status link to get more information from PayPal.

  5. Sign in to your PayPal account.
  6. Review the steps shown as incomplete by PayPal.
  7. Once the PayPal account is active, remember to return to Store Manager and publish your Order Settings.
