You must have your online payment processing set to perform real-time authorizations before you can use AVS and CVV rules to flag orders based on response codes as part of Risk Tools. Without real-time authorization, Risk Tools can't check the address and card verification value provided by customers during checkout. See steps for what you and your customers will see with Risk Tools enabled.
Note: Turbify provides Risk Tools to you for informational purposes only and doesn't represent or warrant that your use of Risk Tools will reduce or eliminate fraudulent or bad credit or debit card transactions initiated by your store customers.
AVS response codes
- M = Match
- N = No Match
- U = Unavailable
- X = Not applicable/no response
For Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, the response will be 3 digits in the order: [Address] [Postal] [Name].
Example: The response code MNX is defined as [Address match, postal no match, name not applicable].
