PHP Hypertext Preprocessor is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML to create dynamic web pages. PHP is an alternative to Microsoft's ASP (Actives Server Page) technology used to create dynamic web pages. Like Perl, PHP can also be used to manipulate data in a MySQL database.
