Password protect your website
Learn how to password protect your website and create access for users.

You can password protect your entire website and when the site is accessed, the visitor will be prompted to enter a username and password to unlock access. Note: If you want to restrict access to particular website directories, please review this article.
Click the WP Toolkit link in the left toolbar. Note: WP Toolkit is not available for the WordPress Essentials Hosting plan.
In the Dashboard section for the selected website, toggle on Password protection.
You will immediately be promoted to enter a Username and New password. Note: You can also auto generate a strong password by clicking the Generate button.
Click the Protect button.
Password protection is now enabled.
If you need to change the password, click the Options icon.
Enter a password in the New password field or auto generate a strong password. Click the Update button. Note: You can also view the current password by clicking the Eye icon.
Visitors will need to enter the username and password you created to access your website.
