If you recently signed up for the Google Shopping app, you may have received an email similar to this:
"We're writing to let you know that you have just lost your website URL claim in your Google Merchant Center account (Account ID: XXXXXXX). Another Google Merchant Center account (email: mccaccountpalaran [at] gmail.com) has verified and claimed the exact URL or a parent URL of the following website: widgetdesigns.com"
To manage your product feed for Google Shopping on your behalf, Turbify requests a claim on the website URL of your store within Google Merchant Center. Your domain name stays fully within your control on all other Google services, and no changes are made to the ownership of your domain registration. Google Shopping only allows a single GMC account to claim a website URL and manage the product catalog for use with Google Shopping ads.
Note: mccaccountpalaran [at] gmail.com is the Google Merchant Center account that Commerce Central uses to manage your Google Shopping ads.
We will always claim the URL back while you have the Google Shopping App active in your Yahoo Commerce Central account. Thus, if anyone uses another Google Merchant Center account to claim the website URL, we will re-claim the URL until the app is cancelled or pending removal. Removal requests must be initiated by the owner of the Commerce Central account in the Settings section of the Google Shopping App.
When the Google Shopping app is uninstalled and any JavaScript code related to the app has been removed from your store, the claim should release automatically within 24-48 hours.
If you need immediate access to Google Merchant Center and you've already uninstalled the Google Shopping app, please contact us.
