If you registered your domain through Turbify, and you decide that our ecommerce, web hosting, or email services aren't for you, you can simply change your domain settings to work with another provider's system.
Here's a four-step guide with what needs to be done. Check out these Help Pages to guide you through.
- Don't lose your site files or email: Save your site files and back up your email using a POP client.
- Save your store data: Download your product catalog, download or export your orders, and export a mailing list from your orders.
- Tell us where your site is located: Change your domain settings.
- Downgrade your plan so you will be charged only for the services you are using.
Important: If the new provider has A, CNAME, or MX records to add rather than name servers, you should downgrade your plan before adding the records. When a change of plan is made, custom A, CNAME, and MX records will reset to the default settings.
Please note that Turbify cannot provide support for third-party services that the DNS is being redirected to. Please consult the new service provider for assistance.
