Password-protect your store

Learn how to block your entire store from view to those without login credentials.

Article ID: SLN19249

Turning on password protection blocks your entire store from view to those without a password. It's not possible right now to password-protect only certain areas of your store. If you turn on password protection, a customer must enter a valid user name and password before they can view any page in your store. Important note: The first time you enable password protection, you'll need to do a full publish of Store Editor in order for it to take effect.

The following instructions apply to stores built using the Store Editor. If you're using the Web Hosting portion of your Merchant Solutions account to build your store, you'll need to read about password protection for Web Hosting.
