If you'd like to use one or more domains you registered elsewhere with your Turbify plan, you can transfer your domain(s) registration to Turbify. This process, called a registrar transfer, allows you to manage every aspect of your domain with your Turbify plan and with a single bill. Learn more about transferring your domain.
Note: Only domains with these TLDs are eligible for transfer at this time:
If you prefer not to transfer your domain, or you can't transfer your domain yet, you can instead ask your registrar to associate your domain with your Turbify services. This process is called redelegating, and it's as easy as sending an email. (Learn More)
If you're planning to redelegate your domain, be sure to complete these steps as soon as possible so you can begin using your domain with your Turbify services. Important! If you do not redelegate your domain, your Turbify services with may not function correctly. Until the domain is redelegated, our scope of support will be limited.
Here's what you'll do
- Sign up for a Turbify plan. During the sign up process, you will see a section labeled Want to use your existing domain name? Click here, review the available options, and select which option best describes your situation.
- After you complete your order, contact the company that registered your domain (your registrar). You can usually do this on the company's web site.
Don't remember which registrar you used? Look it up. Just enter your domain name in the field provided.
- Ask your registrar to change your name servers to your new Turbify settings. You don't need to understand name servers to make the switch. Just provide your registrar with this information:
Primary name server - ns1.turbify.com
Secondary name server - ns2.turbify.com
- Wait up to 72 hours for the change to take effect.
You must complete these steps for each of the domains you would like to associate to your Turbify services, so be sure to contact your registrar as soon as possible!. Note: Unfortunately, only you can request this change; Turbify cannot do it for you.
Important: Redelegation is not a registrar transfer. When you redelegate your domain, your domain registration will remain with your current provider, and you'll continue to pay renewal fees to that provider. Turbify will not renew your domain. Learn more about this distinction.
