Redirecting is a way to ensure that visitors get to the prefered domain name for your website when you have multiple domain names that you use.
Here's an example. You have two domains, widgetdesigns.com and widgetdesigns.net. If you want people to visit widgetdesigns.com, a redirect would help. With a redirect on widgetdesigns.net, people visiting that site in their browser will be taken to the site at widgetdesigns.com.
Turbify offers two types of domain redirects for Domains, Business Mail, and Web Hosting customers. Both types of redirects tell the browser to redirect to the destination web address, which your visitors will see. What type you select will tell the browser and search engines information about how long the redirect is intended to last.
