When you sign up for an Turbify plan that includes a domain name, your domain will be locked automatically. You can unlock and relock your domain anytime; however, we recommend turning locking off only in the event that you need to make changes to your domain name servers.

Lock or unlock your domain

  1. Sign in to your Domain Control Panel.
  2. Click on your current Locking status.
Your Locking status will be either Locked or Unlocked.
  3. Your domain can be either locked Image of toggle in locked state. or unlocked Image of toggle in unlocked state.. Click the toggle next to the padlock icon to change its current status then click the Save button.
    Domain locking dialog box.

Note: For Website Builder plans, there won't be a Domains link in the Dashboard if there's no domain connected to your site.

Please note that only the plan owner can lock or unlock a domain. If you need to unlock your domain, be sure to relock it as soon as possible. In addition, please be aware that pending domains cannot be modified; you can change the lock status only of active domains.
