A hostname is an Internet address or domain name with a prefix. For example, a hostname of the domain name widgetdesigns.com may be www.widgetdesigns.com. A hostname may also be a root domain name. For example, accessing the site at www.widgetdesigns.com by using widgetdesigns.com (without the www.).
You can use domain forwarding to redirect the www host name of your domain to another URL (web address). For other host names, you can use a CNAME record to point to other web addresses. If you wish to point your host names to static IP addresses, you can use A records.
