A CNAME (canonical name) record is a DNS record that can be used to create host names for a domain name. These host names can be set to point to other domain names or other host names.
Note: CNAME records can only be applied to subdomains - such as info.yourhostname.com. If you need to edit your root domain record (@), you would add an A record.
