A registrant is the individual or organization that holds the right to use a specific domain name. This person or organization is the domain license holder or legal entity bound by the domain terms-of-service agreements. The registrant, along with the administrative, technical, and billing contacts for a domain, will receive all renewal and other administrative notices associated with the domain name.
Generally, when you register a domain name you will be the domain name registrant. A registrant can also be the organization or company that holds the rights to the registered domain name. The registrant can be the same as the administrative, technical, and billing contacts.
If your domain is registered through Verizon Small Business Essentials and you wish to change the name of the registrant associated with your domain, please contact us.
If your domain is registered through another registrar (for example, GoDaddy or Network Solutions), you'll need to contact your registrar. Learn more.
