Change the orderable minimum quantity for an item

Learn how to set the minimum number of items a shopper can add to the cart.

Article ID: SLN18792

The Minimum-quantity variable determines the minimum number of an item that a shopper is allowed to purchase. By default this variable is set to one. You can use a variable override to set a higher minimum quantity for an item if you only wish to allow shoppers to purchase that number of an item or more. Typically this applies to low-margin items. Merchants can also choose to set a minimum order amount so shoppers are not allowed to check out below a certain order dollar amount.
