These classic Order Manager features can help you manage your orders and improve customer service.
Order Lookup
A customer calls with a question about their order, but doesn't remember their order-id. How do you find their order?
Use the Order Lookup feature on the Orders page. The Order Lookup feature described below is for merchants utilizing the classic Order Manager. Merchants who have enabled the all-new Order Manager can use that feature's search functionality.
You can search by
- customer's name
- phone number
- email address
- street address, city name or zip/postal code
- last four digits of the credit card number
- order date.
You can filter your search by
- Credit card orders only
- PayPal orders only
Note: At this time, results will be returned only for orders placed during the last 12 months.
Modify an order
Modify an existing order using the Modify button on a single order page. Change the customer's address or modify the items, and select Done to save your changes. Learn more about modifying orders.
If you post or fax your orders, you can use the Resend link on the side of the page to resend the modified order when you're done.
Place an order on hold
On Hold status allows you to put an order aside to deal with later. It's a good way to keep track of orders where you need to take some action - like contacting the customer about an out-of-stock item, or a problem with their credit card.
To mark an order On Hold just select the On Hold option in the Mark Order section (on top of the right side toolbar on the order page), and then click Update.
This is how On Hold orders will display in the all-new Order Manager:
Once you've taken care of the order, you can mark it OK if you are going to fulfill it, Fraudulent or Cancelled if you're not.
