Create a return shipment
Orders you've shipped via UPS will display a Create Return Shipment link in Order Manager. To start creating a return shipment, click on this link.
After clicking this link, you may begin creating a return shipment using the UPS Shipping Tool:
- First, verify the Pickup From address. This will be pre-populated with the address that the order was originally shipped to. If 1 UPS Pickup Attempt or 3 UPS Pickup Attempts is selected as the UPS return service, UPS will attempt to pick up a package from the Pickup To address. If you've chosen to have UPS print and mail a return label, the return label will be mailed to this address. To edit this information, click the corresponding Edit button.
- Next, verify the Return To address information. The Return To address is pre-populated with the address you provided during your UPS registration as the origin location from which your packages are shipped. If this is not the address the package should be returned to (for example, if the return should be made to a drop-shipper), you may edit this information by clicking the corresponding Edit button. Editing the Return To address will not change your UPS registration information.
- Complete the package shipping information by selecting a UPS service and packaging, and entering the package weight and dimensions.
- Next, select a UPS return service. You may choose to send a return label by email, have UPS print and mail a return label, print and mail a return label yourself, or have UPS pickup the package from your customer, with your choice of 1 UPS attempt or 3 UPS pickup attempts.
- Enter a description of the items contained in the shipment in the Package Contents field. This description is required for all UPS return shipments.
- When you've completed the requested shipment information, click the Next button.
- Review your return shipment information. To make changes, click the Edit Shipment button.
- Once you're ready to create your return shipment, click the Create Shipment button.
Void a return shipment
A return shipment may be voided through your Order Manager until midnight (PST) on the date it is created. To void a return shipment after this time, please call 1-800-PICK-UPS. UPS Preferred Customers should contact an account representative.
- In Order Manager, view the order you've created a return shipment for. This order will display a Void Return Shipment link until midnight PST on the date the return shipment is created.
- Click the Void Return Shipment link. You will be taken to the Void Return Shipment screen.
- Click the Void Return Shipment button. Your return shipment will be voided.
Once voided, the return shipment will be permanently deleted from both Turbify and UPS systems. To resubmit this shipment or to generate a new return label, please return to the order in Order Manager, select Create Return Shipment, and complete the return shipment process from the beginning.
