Restore files in File Manager

Accidentally delete a file from your File Manager? Find out how to do a quick recovery.

Restore a file 

  1. Sign into your My Services page.
  2. Click the Web Hosting link.
    The Web Hosting link is under Control Panels.
  3. Click the Files Manager link in the Files module. A new window opens to the File Manager. Note: You can also access the File Manager from the WordPress Toolkit.

  4. Click the View Trash link and highlight the file or folder you want to restore. Note: If you didn't permanently delete the file or folder, you should see the deleted item(s).

  5. Click the Restore link. A dialog opens to confirm the restore.

  6. Click the Restore Files button to confirm to restore the file or folder to the original location.

Tip: If you don't see the file or folder in the File Manager trash, try to find the missing item(s) in a website backup file, then upload the specific file or folder using the File Manager or FTP.

Important: Remember to back up your website before making changes.
